Okay folks Hallow’s Eve is almost upon us and here’s a quickie reminder about…
PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Ghoulish Brain Training
Virtual Task List (VTL)
I woke up wide-eyed and bushie tailed at 4 am. I just had too many ideas floating in my consciousness so I wrapped them together in a VTL Blanket and opted to go back to sleep. Here’s the wackiest one yet (see previous entries re: Virtual Task List lesson plan.)
My list to remember:
Look up Dr J’s event so I don’t miss it
Get Bone Density appointment
Saw the gate so it opens
Surprise Hubby with detailing his car
Get Halloween lights
Submit Photos for Senior Yearbook to be received on Halloween
Pay medical bill
Make acupuncture appoint
Make a spa appointment
Well Halloween provided a perfect theme for the needs, the bones, the Saw, the expert in making faces (but not like Frankenstein) so here’s what I remembered when I finally woke up at 7 am:
Dr. Jane was sawing the side gate when her arm fell off (ewwww ghoulish but good visual) because the Halloween lights went out.
She hadn’t paid her medical bill at Kaiser so the only service she could get on Halloween was “pins and needles” as the ghoulies refer to acupuncture on this auspicious eve.
She noticed when she got back into her car there was blood on the upholstery (ewwww ghoulish visual.)
She took a picture and sent it off that night to her insurance company.
She then retired to the ZOMBIE SPA for a lil R&R.
Use your imagination: create themes in your VTL. Again, the more absurd the more you’ll remember. Caution, make sure you do tie the themes together and repeat them to yourself a couple of times within a 30m timeframe. The more visual, the more to work with when remembering.
Enjoy your Trick -or- Treaters and watch out for the armless ghoulies!!!!!
Remember me until next time,
